Han Joo Chik Naeng Myun & BBQ does Korean barbecue a little differently. Instead of the usual grill, they use a crystal plate to cook the meat, which is really cool. I came here with a group of four on a Saturday afternoon, and we got seated right away since it wasn't too busy. We went for the Number One Sampler, which had a mix of meats, kimchi, eggs, and spicy tofu stew. The staff grills the meat for you on the crystal plate, and I noticed it didn't get as oily as a regular grill. It took a little longer to cook, but the meat came out tender and crispy. The kimchi was amazing--probably the best I've had at a Korean BBQ spot! I even had to ask for seconds. I also ordered the spicy cold noodles, which I always get with BBQ because they balance out the richness. These noodles were perfect--not too spicy or vinegary, and they had that perfect chewy texture without being too chewy. One thing I was surprised by--after we finished, I was expecting to smell like BBQ all day, but we didn't! Either it's the crystal plate or the restaurant has great ventilation, but I didn't leave smelling like a grill. If you love Korean BBQ but find it a little too oily sometimes, I'd definitely recommend this spot. The crystal plate makes a big difference, and everything we had was delicious.

Delicious korean food from a mom&pop shop! We came here last weekend when it was pouring rain & there was no one. Food was amazing & the service was excellent! We ordered to share: 1) the LA Galbi+Naeng Mun (Cold Noodle) Combo, 2) #3 (Mo Deum Sam Gyup Sal) which is the small version of the crystal grill. The amount of food we ordered above was more than enough for 2 of us. We were beyond stuffed!! The LA Galbi (marinated beef short ribs) was one of the best I have eaten! It was super tender, juicy, falls off the bone & well marinated (super savory w/ a nice tint of sweetness)! I was so sad when all the galbi were devoured. I wish they would sell a larger version of this! I would reorder this item w/o a doubt! Naeng Mun (arrowroot starch noodle, sliced beef & vegetable in chilled beef broth) - The broth was super refreshing, vinegarish & delicious. Since the noodles were chewier and thick, I almost choked on them. I think the noodles needed to be snipped more. The #3 combo (mo deum sam gyup sal) - it was more than enough food for 2 people. All the meats & the kimchi were super delicious & well marinated! The staff helped us cook the meats & whenever it was ready she would tell us to eat it soon. The staff was very sweet. The banchan was delicious & the staff was so nice for refilling them. If I come back, I would reorder everything I ate again.

Yes it is deep in Flushing but it is worth the trip over. If you want good, authentic kbbq with good side dishes, this is the place to go. We got the large set that comes with different cuts of pork belly (for four people), two of the noodles (mul nengmyun and bibim nengmyun), one soup, and one bottle of soju. The noodles seasoning wasn't too powerful so it was easy to eat and finish . Also, it didn't take away from the main, the meats. The first round consisted of thinly sliced pork belly, which cooked quickly (and deliciously). Afterwards were numerous slabs of thick pork belly. Although we came during peak dinner time, the server(s) did their best to accommodate and attend/cook our meat. The thick pork belly strips were cooked on a different grill a little prior to adding to our grill, ensuring that there would be a constant flow of cooked meat ready for consumption. Overall, good food, decent service, and friendly prices (around $50pp).

Solid Korean restaurant in middle of Korean neighborhood. Their specialties are table bbq pork belly, duck and other exotics (not beef ribs, bulgogi). Had budaejiigae (army stew, with various pork parts spicy stew and ramen noodles). Very good, if not steep (can't help it, 50 for casserole is high despite pandemic inflation). Also had grilled belly pork, very good. Started with 9 banchan which is decent. Open until 11pm. good place.

Han Joo's that neighborhood favorite where everyone knows they'll get good pork belly. It never disappoints and the cold noodles are the perfect compliment to the flavorful pork belly. It was my first since Covid began, and they've kept up their quality. One thing I will say is that their service was a bit slow and a couple of times, we asked for things and just never got themThey were relatively busy for a Monday night, but not too busy, so we weren't sure what was going on. They are very busy on the weekend so I'd recommend going a bit earlier to get a table.

I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with a group of 4 people. This is an old school Korean BBQ place where they still use a crystal plate to grill. It's tilted so the fat from the meat drips down. They also grill the kimchi as well which is delicious. I'm not a fan of cold kimchi haha. We ordered the seafood pancake and the medium pork belly set which has enough meat for 4 people. Service was great, they cook the meat quickly and refill everything before you even ask (lettuce, onions, sauce, seasonings, panchan). There's a good variety of pork belly with varying thickness, I prefer the thicker cut. Also, when you're done eating, they give you a complimentary yogurt drink which was nice. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Been coming here often recently. I have two words for you: PORK BELLY. They offer many different types but we always get #8 or the thick cut. Its grilled with kimchi and beansprouts (and it is bomb dot com). 4 stars because I wish their menu was more extensive or customizable. We come here with the intention of ordering nengmyun but we always divert our attention to pork belly. They offer a few combos such as a nengmyun + kalbi special or a nengmyun + dumpling special but theres no substitutes allowed. This pork belly loving girl would really appreciate the option to order a smaller portioned nengmyun with pork belly or a nengmyun + pork belly combo because life should be all about options! Am I right? :)

Came here for the first time for som naeng myun and wasn't disappointed! Walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was seated promptly. The servers there speak both Korean and Chinese. We didn't get bbq during this visit but will definitely be back to try some next time. We got the naengmyun and galbi combo & the soondoobu and galbi combo. Both were around $25. The banchan was good while we waited for our food. The portion size for the naengmyun and Galbi was really good. Soondoobu was in a smaller bowl but was still enough to have us feeling full. The Galbi was so tender and soft with the right amount of char. The naengmyun hit the spot, only one piece of beef but that didn't bother me. I got the one with the spicy sauce as you get to choose your choice of naengmyun. Overall reasonably priced for the portion and really good food!
